This project is a collaboration with the talented painter Tessa Hermes. Both of us were invited to exhibit at the same event in Amsterdam. Upon learning that we would be participating in the same exhibition, we decided to create a unique collaboration for this special occasion.
Our primary objective was to combine the two art forms of painting and photography. We aimed to ensure that both art forms were well-represented, and we wanted the resulting pieces to be physically unique and irreplaceable. The chosen theme was evident from the beginning – Our intention was to combine Tessa’s stunning portrayals of strong and feminine women with captivating landscape photographs from my recent journey to Spain and Switzerland.
The realization of our collaboration resulted in three distinct representations of women, each symbolising different types of landscapes – the icy cold, the warm southern lands, and the nurturing embrace of Mother Earth.
